iAISTX Plus SOTDMA AIS Transponder with GV30 GPS-AIS Combi Antenna

DIGITAL YACHT
A growing number of boaters use an iPad or Android tablet for their navigation tasks and thus the iAISTX Plus was designed specifically for their needs. This full function Class B AIS transponder with WiFi and NMEA 2000 is able to send your boat position and identity data to other AIS equipped vessels. It also provides a wireless interface for mobile devices. This enables popular apps to display data received from other AIS-enabled vessels. The GV30 GPS-AIS combination antenna antenna included in the delivery contents receives AIS data in addition to GPS position data and transmits it just as reliably. This saves you the expense of installing an additional FM aerial. The iAISTX Plus has an NMEA 2000 interface (with integral drop cable) to connect effortlessly with modern plotters, instruments and multifunction displays and provide AIS functionality. Integrated WIFI iAISTX Plus creates a secure, password protected, local Wi-Fi network which allows AIS and GPS data to be sent to popular iOS and Android apps such as Navionics, iSailor, Weather4D, SailGrib, iNavX, TimeZero and more. These apps offer a detailed overlay of local AIS targets all updated in real-time. Depending upon the app, you can click on a target and can see identity as well as collision avoidance data such as CPA (closest point of approach) and TCPA (time to closest point of approach). Uncomplicated Configuration Thanks to the embedded web interface, the iAISTX Plus can be configured quickly and easily using your smartphone, tablet or PC's browser with the static data of your boat, required of all AIS transponders. Simply open your web browser, enter the iAISTX’s IP address and you can configure the vessel details (MMSI number, vessel name etc.), network name, password and even merge the AIS’s WiFi to an existing WiFi network on board. No complicated programming software or app is required. You can even view the received NMEA data in the web browser, for easy fault finding of issues. Finally, the iAISTX supports TCP and UDP network protocols for maximum compatibility with apps. Easy installation Just connect the power (12/24v), mount the supplied Digital Yacht GV30 GPS-AIS combi antenna (with 10 m connection cable) and connect this to the iAISTX Plus directly. The GV30 AIS/GPS combination antenna from Digital Yacht is designed for use with Class B AIS transponders. It is precisely tuned to the 162 MHz AIS frequency. High gain GPS element. Clearly designed with easy assembly and installation in mind, the manufacturer has included two individual cables, 10 m long, equipped with small FME plugs. The antenna can be mounted on all standard 1"-14 antenna holders as well as directly on flat surfaces. The coaxial cables can be routed either straight down or sideways out of the antenna housing or the threaded base. Delivery contents includes one FME/BNC and one FME/TNC adapter each. Matching 1"-14 tilt feet and antenna holders for deck, mast or as railing mounting are available separately. Details Combination AIS/VHF and GPS antenna Specifically tuned to 162MHz High gain GPS element Small dimensions: diameter 75 mm, height with threaded base 190 mm, height without threaded base 150 mm 2 x 10 m coax cable, white, equipped with small FME plugs (female), cable Ø 5 mm Well-designed housing allows easy and variable cable routing Standard 1"-14 threaded base, compatible with commercially available antenna holders and tilting bases 1x FME/BNC (male/male) and 1x FME/TNC (male/male) adapter each included in delivery Notes As standard, the antenna is set up for mounting on standard 1"-14 antenna holders. The 1"-14 threaded base can be removed for direct mounting on flat surfaces. It is attached to the antenna housing with 3 hexagon socket screws (M3x10). You will need a 2.5 mm Allen key to loosen the hexagon socket screws. When mounting on a flat surface, ensure that the underside of the antenna is adequately sealed. Do not mix up the connecting cables. These are marked close to the FME connectors with small printed flags and directly on the cable with "GPS/GLO" or "AIS" printed in yellow. Extending the coax wires should be avoided if possible. However, if necessary, you will find appropriate FME/FME connectors and RG8X cables in our range. If you make an extension, make sure you check the antenna functions before you go on the water! Features Discover the features that make this product stand out. WEATHERDOCK
The AIS Class B easyTRX3 transmitter/receiver by Weatherdock boasts the latest innovations: 5 W broadcast power, faster transfer rate of AIS protocols and SOTDMA technology. The AIS transceiver features a rugged, compact and waterproof housing and provides permanent parallel transmission and reception of both AIS frequencies. The device has an integrated splitter, an integrated GPS and wifi antenna, a DVBT module and DAB receiver. In addition, this version has a DAB receiver for easy access to digital radio stations with outstanding sound. The DVBT module filters and amplifies received frequencies of DVB-T, DVB-T2 and FM radio reception. As a result, no extra antenna is required. The SOTDMA technology improves AIS transmission by organising the free time slots in the AIS transmission process and reserving the same space for the next transmission interval. Connect to a wide range of devices with NMEA2000, 2x NMEA0183 and USB connectivity. The WiFi function would also allow wireless transmission. AIS data is displayed in real time on a compatible display. The integrated 72-channel GNSS/GPS receiver provides optimal reception of position data. Please note that depending on the installation location of the AIS transponer, the integrated GPS receiver may not receive a sufficient GPS signal. In this case, it is recommended to receive GPS data using the separately available GPS antenna. The USB connection to a computer provides the power supply, allowing the device to be easily configured at home. The same applies to the internal SD memory, which can also be controlled and accessed via computer without an external power source. All AIS travel data, similar to a black box, can be stored on the internal storage device for data backup. With a USB connection to a PC/MAC or laptop, the memory can be accessed or the easyTRX3 can be programmed with relevant ship data using the included software, without having to connect the easyTRX3 to its own power supply.
